In this course you not only learn about the correct planting, harvesting, treating and drying of the bamboo, but furthermore you gain knowledge about design, lashing, joining, angle cutting, making bamboo nails and much more.
You will learn what a valuable and fast growing grass bamboo is, sustainable and unique.
You are getting a lot closer to your desire to create your own natural house and to build it with a good feeling for the environment.
You will realize how valuable a healthy sleep is in a home made house build out of adobe.
Arrival and departure:
Location: Finca Renacer in La Florida, near Tinamastes, Costa Rica.
Arrival on Friday after 3 pm.
The workshop ends on the following Friday at 3 pm.
You can take a bus from San Jose airport to San Isidro and from there a bus to Tinamastes. We can pick you up at the bus stop in Tinamastes. If you come with a car please make sure it is a four wheel drive, as the streets in the mountains make it necessary.

PART 2:
How do you work with clay/adobe.
How do I recognize which clay I am able to use.
Different techniques how to prepare clay.
Different techniques to build a wall.
How to make a floor out of clay.
How you make the last plaster.
How you make ultimate plaster finish.
Price for foreigners: $ 1.180 (cabin or guesthouse), $ 900 (tent)
Price for Ticos (Costa Ricans): $ 930 (cabin or guesthouse), $ 650 (tent)
Price includes teaching, accommodation, 3 meals daily, tea and coffee.
